this is the first websight I have ever seen where you actually have to pay to teach someone. I thought about it, and I would understand if you wanted users to pay to learn from your teachers, but actually having the teachers pay to do that, I have never seen it. for 6 bucks a month its not that bad, but I have a lot of fun teaching people how to use apple products. I normally charge people for my services. I have never been charged for my services. So I think I will pass on that front
That makes no sense, having teachers pay. I've never seen that, either. Can you explain your reasoning behind that, Nicky?
I am sorry about the confusion with the tutoring section of the website.
I want to start with saying the meet and greet is free.
For the tutoring part.
I am having people pay to sign up to use space on my website and for the
traffic they will receive by doing so. There is a 1 month free trial when signing
up.
When someone uses my website, they will create pages to set up their courses
or products they want to advertise and sale. The consumers will pay the tutor
for the service that the tutor is providing. I will not get any of this money at all.
The consumer does not pay to use the site at all. The only fees the consumers
will pay for are the fees that the tutors and shop owners charge them for
services and products.
This is a common process that I have used myself in jobs I have done. An
example is with Scentsy other similar companies. With Scentsy I had to pay a
$10 monthly fee to use a PWS personal web site.
Weather you create your own website or set up a business in town some place,
you will pay a fee for the use of the space.
Unless your doing it free with a .wordpress.com site or using some sight like
this to advertise or marketing on your Facebook or twitter, it is typically going to
cost you something.
I kept in mind that most blind people don’t have a lot of money and chose a
lower fee. When doing my research, a lot of companies charged between $10 -
$20 and more in some cases for this service.
If I offered my space free, how would I other wise earn anything from the site?
I don’t want to charge the consumers a fee onto of what they will have to pay
for your services. What you as a tutor or a shop owner will be paying for is
essentially is rent.
